Is there really anyone out there who doesn’t like going on holidays??
I know the lead up can be a little stressful and the arrival in a foreign country can also be stressful and the being on time for your plane can be a bit stressful and making sure the food is not poisonous is stressful and making sure you have all the necessary documentation to enter the country is stressful – but you’re going on holiday!!
Ok so there is a little bit of stress in organising a holiday. I’m certainly not sharing with you beautiful readers what goes on behind the scenes to make sure you have the perfect itinerary, but I do drink a lot of wine!
So take away the stress of organising it – leave that to me then you are also helping the vineyards of Australia make money.
When you are on holidays you have time. So much more time. The day seems to stand still. Is it just because you can actually finish conversations? Or is it that you are waiting for happy hour and it never seems to come?
On holidays you can sleep when you want to. Beside the pool, on the beach, on the train or even just a late morning sleep in. They call this recharging. Its really important to your health or so I have read somewhere.
And then there is the food. You eat a cooked breakfast most mornings with 2 or 3 cups of coffee. Then its really hard deciding what to have for lunch. And then there is dinner. Getting dressed up each evening to go to a restaurant and order things you wouldn’t dream of cooking on a Tuesday night at home.
You seem to have this second wind in the evenings where long walks, movies, playing games are just genuine fun.
You’re not thinking about what to make for lunch in the morning or washing the clothes….you’re remembering the memories you are making each day with the people you love.
Thats why you need a holiday. According to me anyway!
